At Gottle Gas we understand you may have questions about the gas cylinders you have ordered. We have listed our most frequently asked questions. If you are unable to find the answer you are looking for then please contact us and we will do their best to answer your question.

Who will deliver my gas?

We work very closely with our suppliers and your cylinders will be delivered by the most competitive available to us when you place your order. Your delivery will be shipped from a local depot near to you.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is free on all items.

Where do you deliver?

We offer National delivery to the UK mainland excluding the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland.

When will my order be delivered?

Our standard delivery time scale is within 5 working days from the order being placed. This allows orders to be routed together and delivered in the most economical and environmentally friendly way. If you have a more urgent requirement please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help.

In times of very high demand we may need to adjust the delivery dates shown on the website. Delivery dates may also be affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as extreme weather, fuel supply shortages or for other reasons.

I’ve run out – can you provide an emergency delivery?

Its always worth contacting us to see if there is something we can arrange but it is dependant on where delivery vehicles are on certain days.

Do I need to be there during delivery ?

You only need to be at the delivery if there are any access issues – Most deliveries are made on an unattended basis. If there are specific requirements for your delivery like location of cylinders, animals or special instructions you will be able to enter these when placing your order.

What happens if there is a problem during delivery?

If the driver can't gain access to the property or in his opinion there is nowhere secure to leave the cylinders then they will not be delivered and will go back into the routing system for the next available delivery slot.  The customer will be contacted to see if issue can be rectified before re-delivery.

Can I cancel or change my order?

If you need to cancel or change your order you should contact us directly by phone as soon as possible using the details on your order confirmation.  If the order is not out for delivery then amendments or cancellations can be completed by the office.  If the order is already out for delivery and the customer wishes to cancel they would need to reject the order at point of delivery.  On confirmation of rejection by delivery company any monies would be refunded to customer.  Any additional amendments to orders when out for delivery would require an additional order to be placed and paid for.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of cylinders that I can order?

There is no minimum or maximum order quantity when purchasing though the site. If ordering 20+ cylinders be aware that VAT will increase from a reduced rate 5% to the standard 20% VAT applicable on all of the cylinders on that order.

I use a different brand of cylinders will yours work?

Gas cylinders are completely interchangeable between suppliers and all feature standard connections.  Cylinder sizes are standardised with each supplier offering direct replacements. 

Do you require an exchange cylinder or a deposit?

We do not currently require a deposit on our cylinders or a bottle in exchange.

Will you collect my empty cylinders?

As the cylinders always remain the property of the supplier, each brand can only be collected by the relevant supplier.  As we deliver the most competitively priced cylinder in your area  the bottles supplied may be different to the one's you have but we can always aid you in arranging there collection if we can't collect as we deliver.

How do I pay?

You must pay by debit or credit card at the time of order using the secure payment system operated by Realex Payments. There is a small surcharge of 2.5% on credit cards to cover the extra costs charged by the banks. You can also call us direct at the office and place orders via the phone.

Does the price include VAT ?

The prices displayed on the site are inclusive VAT and delivery.
